The National Lutheran Home Invites You

Ministering to those in need has always been a priority in our Lutheran tradition. Augustanans over the years have given of their time, talent, and treasure to social ministry concerns.

The Auxiliary of the Home recently observed it's 63rd anniversary. It continues to play an important role in bettering the quality of life of our friends there. A small annual gift of $5 (or more) per year helps provide a few special services and extras for the residents' day to day comfort and enjoyment. (See Ingrid for a membership card.)

In addition, if you have a bit of free time for voluntary work at the Home, there are numerous opportunities for service. Help is always welcomed at the Spring and Fall Bazaars, teas and other special events. Adopting a senior resident in the "Pal Program" may be of interest. Incidentally, if you happen to visit the Home on a Thursday, you just might find Alice Anderson lending her skill and talent as she assists the residents in the arts and crafts area. Over the years a number of Augustanans have volunteered their services at the Home.

Finally, the Spring Festival will be held Saturday, May 15th. Keep that in mind and plan to come out and meet and greet the friendly folk at NLH. Hope to see you there!
