Endowment Fund Established
at Augustana!
Over the past year, the Stewardship Committee, Pastor Cox, and the
Congregational Council (with guidance from the ELCA Foundation) have
worked to create an Endowment Fund for members of Augustana who wish
to support our mission by designating a legacy gift as part of their
estate planning.
The Council already has included the Mission Endowment Fund in its
standing rules. Now, we would like to move forward to establish the
Mission Endowment Fund in the Augustana bylaws. What does this mean?
The bylaws will contain more details on how the Mission Endowment Fund
will be managed and how its distributions will be used. We plan to
hold a congregational vote on Sunday, June 13th after church in the
sanctuary – please mark your calendars!
